Death Cab breathes life into this cutie

Forget Transatlantacism, this was Trans-universe-ism! I was taken to another world Saturday night. A world where bands meet you highest expectations, rock out on stage, and sing an amazing range of songs. A world where the lead singers' voice sounds even better than the CD and where I was allowed to feel pure joy and elation for the entire set.

Saturday's Death Cab for Cutie concert was amazing. It's not often that you see a band so effortlessly switch up their instruments. It's enough to make you believe that each person is a one man band within himself. They rocked the house playing both old and new stuff. When they were done, I was spent. We begged and pleaded for them to come back out for an encore, and just when it looked like they would never been seen again, Ben came out and sang "I'll follow you into the dark". It was just him and his guitar... I was awed; such emotion. God I love that song.

The concert was made better by the opening band Youth Group. They're from down under, and they're style of music worked perfectly with Death Cabs'. There's nothing like hearing a bands' music for the first time; live. I'll definitely go out and buy their record. So if Death Cab is coming to a city near you, I recommend seeing them. It will definitely be worth your while.

Wow, sounds like a great band. I felt the same way when I saw Inner Circle perform for the first time. I don't know if Death Cab is coming to Austin, but if they do, I'll strongly consider checking them out. I'm gonna go listen to samples from their cd on Amazon now. You got me all interested and stuff. :)

I got Death Cab's Plans. Love it. And you were right, I'll Follow You Into the Dark is really good. Transatlanticism has been on my list forever, so I'll get it next. Thanks!
